"The Average American"
I weary of this hypothesized being, this figmentation dragooned out of unreality into debates about reality. As if they actually existed in a meaningful way. Americans are polarized, unequal and do not get their information from the same sources at all. We have increasingly little in common with one another. Let the paroxysmal incoherence, the fractiousness and the paralytic tension of our society be grasped. The Joe Sixpacks are screaming not in unison but at each other.
